Prelude

Caught in the web of existential trouble, Leo takes on an introspective journey that will lead him down a shape-shifting maze of fear, regrets and evil-infused visions.

Prelude is the story of a scriptwriter, Leo, at the crossreads of his life.

A moment, suspended in time, right before the possibility of a restart. A moment where the will for living doesn't seem reasonable anymore but the opportunity to access a cleansed ground has never been so close.

Pushed by script writting deadlines, Leo will have no choice but to enter a journey through his own memories, mixed with disturbed fantasies. All on the pressuring background of his obligation to delievering a fiction on time.

How we saved this movie

All the people that made it possible

Special version of the poster celebrating the donators that made it possible!

Artists from all over the world supported our work too and among them, Laura Barbato became the Executive Producer with the flair that characterize her bests:

“There’s no way a countdown on a campaign should determine whether this gets made or not.”

They Talk About Us

Watch Our Journey

During summer 2021, after months of work and preparation, the film Prelude was shot during a pretty intense week in Stockholm. Following mad plans, and with all the financial resources it was possible to get, the experienced team gathered around this project gave it all on set to make what seemed to be impossible a reality.

A lot of unexpected events happened during this shooting but thanks to our determination - and a bit of luck - we eventually had the movie. Or more precisely, promising rushes of a movie to come.

The Crash

It is quite ironic that a movie evolving around the topic of death had to die from a hardly explainable HardDrive crash.

The spirit was quite low after this shocking news. But hope came back after we sent the damaged HardDrive to a data recovery company.

The company worked on it for weeks and good news eventually came: they could recover most of the data back!

The recovery price was quite expensive, but something was possible and it was enough for a plan to rise!

We Made It!

It took us one month. One month filled up with all kinds of feelings to go through. And all of them were, in fine, positives. One month that felt so long by its richness and so short by its fullness.

Fantastic people believed in this movie and decided to support the hard work we gave to make it. People that wish to see good cinema and a never seen before artistic vision on a subject that touches us all, directly or not: isolation, depression and suicidal thoughts. A tough topic, so vivid in our lives and yet, mostly escaped when shilly evoked.
